Our first two concerts are presented FREE as part of Culture Days 2021: Sept. 26th features two young Brockville singers Michael Fenn and Kayla Maggio; Oct. 24th showcases talented jazz pianist Nick Maclean. The third and final concert of the series, featuring the fabulous marimba/cello duo Stick&Bow, will be presented online Nov. 21st for $10 per ticket. All concerts can be viewed at 3:00 pm.
Born in Ottawa, NICK MACLEAN is “one of the most gifted young Toronto pianists to come along in the last few years” and has quickly become one of the most in demand piano players in Toronto's jazz scene.
Stick&Bow, “the trailblazing Montreal duo that plays everything from Bach to Radiohead” (CBC Music), unites marimba player Krystina Marcoux and cellist Juan Sebastian Delgado. Classically trained musicians, they present a wide spectrum of musical styles featuring original arrangements of some of the most celebrated works in history. Stick&Bow is also strongly committed to the music of our time, commissioning works that are daring yet accessible from composers such as Luis Naon, Camille Pépin, Luna Pearl Woolf, among others.
