Sultans of String
The BCA is thrilled to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with A WORLD OF MUSIC, beginning with the Sultans of String's Refuge / Sanctuary project. Sultans of String is a multi-award-winning band that thrills audiences with a genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, Flamenco, Django-jazz, Arabic, Cuban and South Asian rhythms. This Refuge / Sanctuary concert highlights the positive contributions of refugees and new immigrants to Canada. The show is a collaboration with special guests who are newcomers to this land, Indigenous artists, as well as global talents who have been ambassadors for peace.
Barnes & Woldemichael Ethio-Jazz Quartet
The BCA is thrilled to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with A World of Music. Second up in this series is the Barnes & Woldemichael Ethio-Jazz Quartet. The evening will begin with a catered Ethiopian dinner at 5:30pm, followed by the concert at 7:00pm.
Bridge & Wolak on stage with orchestra
The BCA is thrilled to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with A World of Music. The final event in this series is TANGORIUM, a new multimedia show with the Queen's University Orchestra on stage with soloists Michael Bridge (accordion) and Kornel Wolak (clarinet).
