Linking Schools to Music: Over the years, through the Outreach Project, the Brockville Concert Association has arranged for professional musicians to visit Brockville area schools to explain their instrument, perform and listen to those students who play an instrument and generally discuss and play music. With support from the May Court Club of Brockville we have also presented children’s concerts to classes of students from local schools, giving them the inspiring experience of listening to live music in Brockville’s superb concert theatre, the Brockville Arts Centre.
Youth Performance Opportunities: It is also with pride and pleasure that on occasion we feature young, local talent as a lead off to our internationally renowned performers. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 we pivoted from in-person to online concerts and presented two local youth musicians in their own online concert. We feel it is very important to encourage and showcase young talent.
